They make versions for other regions as well! This series is great for beginners; they organize sections and pages to make ID as easy as possible, and include ways to spot lookalikes. It’s also written in accessible language, and includes lots of fun facts! I loved using this with the kids I taught; once they figured out how to find stuff in it, they always wanted to have it and ID all the fungi we came across!
VERY comprehensive, not super beginner friendly, but good to have around if you’re curious! This book is enormous & is very likely the most comprehensive guide you’ll find. And it’s enormous. I cannot stress enough how fucking large this book is.

my favorite thing to do is slip on my human skin and do polite conversation with strangers . like it’s so thrilling oh yeah I’m getting a good grade in acting normal and friendly. I’m the most pleasant stranger you’ve ever met for a minute or two.
i hate it when you ask people to treat fat people with just some semblance of decency and you get hit with “stop promoting obesity” -_-…………….. just because you said that im promoting obesity now.
